About Us

We are a small church with a big vision for the future. This vision first came to us in 1998 but has never really been "ours" to make happen... only ours to be obedient to. Our vision is to see the Body of Christ return to God's original purpose, power, form, and function – in accordance with God's Will for His Church. Our vision is to see the Gospel of Jesus Christ rock the city of Fernley, NV, the entire northern NV region, and then the world.

If we are ever going to accomplish this, we need to: 1) Base our lives and teaching on the Bible; 2) Live the Gospel, not just talk about it; and 3) Put aside our differences in the non-essentials and allow the Body of Christ to be united as Jesus prayed it would be. (John 17:21)

At Restoration Church, we keep Jesus at the center of EVERYTHING. By keeping Jesus at the center, we are free to be open and honest with one another; to live life together; to encourage, equip, and edify one another as we work out this process of becoming more Christ-like together as one body of believers. Free to be transparent; recognizing our flaws as sinners saved by grace and working through this process of becoming more Christ-like together as one body of believers/disciples. This is what Jesus intended for His Church and this is what we strive for at Restoration Church. (Philippians 2:12-16)

The first thing you will notice as you visit Restoration Church is that we strive to keep things comfortable, casual, fun, and relevant to life. The only thing we ever really seem to take serious is Jesus and the Bible. Everything else... is pretty much fair game. You will also notice that we are a hodgepodge of individuals who deeply love and care for one another. We don't care about where you've been, only where you are being led. We don't care about what you have done, only about what Jesus is doing in and through you.

We are real people – with real problems – finding real victory through Jesus Christ. We desire for people to come just as they are. No superficial "airs" needed; just real people who desire to be real with God and with one another.
